Is anyone else finally getting around to doing a Sylvia's Bridal Sampler Quilt? I wanted to do one before it was ever published as a pattern book and was just a collection of patterns Jennifer Chiavenini put up online to go with her book. I had some printed out and was all ready to go. I had a handful of little kids at the time, so my quilting dreams got left behind somewhere on the diaper aisle. A dozen years later and there I sat at thriftbooks.com, just enjoying the good bargains, browsing their quilt stuff and I came across the sampler in book form. Holy Cow! What a flashback. I clicked that button and a few days later I had the book. Today I got the fabric. Pretty stuff from two different red rooster fabric collections. I love their fabric! It's so beautiful, my pictures don't do it justice. I'm just waiting on a small rotary cutter and some starch and then BAM! I finally get to make one. I feel a little silly being nostalgic for a quilt pattern, but it is such a beautiful thing that I wanted to make but just couldn't.

I have this book but it's been a while since I looked at it. Maybe I'll sew along with you!
